A quick marketing lesson here:
Whilst watching the Grey College First XV destroy my alma mater, Grey High Schools 1st XV (or maybe it was the U15a team!) I noticed one of the advertising hoardings displaying a web site – numba51.co.za
Thinking that it was very intriguing I opened another tab and typed in number51.co.za – FIRST lesson when choosing a domain name: Choose a name that idiots like me will NOT misspell and convert to ‘proper’ spelling.
What will happen now (and until the Numba51.co.za domain owner populates the site and gets backlinks) is that anyone looking on a search engine for Numba51 will land on this page!
When I finally grew a brain and typed in Numba51.co.za all I was met with was a HOLDING PAGE so we will remain in the dark as to just what business Numba51 does do to be able to afford a fancy advertising hoarding on the Kolisi Field at Grey High School.
The web site number51.co.za IS available.
So, if I was the owner of Numba51.co.za I would ALSO register number51.co.za and redirect traffic to numba51.co.za.
As far as I can discern Numba51 is a logistics business and has nothing to do with the actual meaning of Number 51 in the Bible.
In spiritual contexts, the number 51 often signifies divine restoration, transformation, and new beginnings. It represents a period of positive change and personal growth, urging individuals to release fears and embrace opportunities with faith in their divine guidance. It can also symbolize a return to grace after a period of difficulty or a time to break free from limiting beliefs.
A wonderful sentiment, but, does it tell me exactly what service I am going to get from numba51.co.za?
NOPE.

The goal when selecting a business name is:
- Short
- Descriptive
- Explains what is ‘inside the box’
- Localised
- Available in all social media channels
So, I remain confused as to why someone would spend all those advertising rands including their domain name and then NOT have their web site ready to go?
Below is the video that sparked these random thoughts.
PLEASE NOTE: This video is not for sensitive Old Grey High boys rooting for their alma mater.

Love the context. 👍
