Amazing! Very unique photo.
This reminds me of the movie ‘The Martian’ in which the main character tries growing potatoes in a similar habitat on Mars. For him it did not end well when the airlock blew out, but lets hope this terrestrial domed greenhouse works to great advantage.

they are able to operate 6-7 months per year by taking advantage of long daylight hours and extending the lukewarm short summers up here

Inspiring to grow things there! We are in the process of building a passivhaus which keeps a constant 20C (68F) for us to live in at only 45 South. We get snow for 2-4 days per winter.
