The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Electricity and Energy Directorate would like to inform residents of a power outage affecting parts of the metro following the tripping of the Butterfield 6.6kV circuit breakers at the Tembani Substation.
Municipal technical teams have been notified and are currently investigating the cause of the outage. Every effort is being made to identify the fault and restore electricity supply as quickly and safely as possible.
