The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents of Walmer Location and surrounding areas of a power outage affecting the area.
The outage was caused by the tripping of the Arlington Substation – Steve Biko 11kV circuit breaker, resulting in a loss of supply on the Walmer Location (ASB) line.
Municipal electricity teams have been notified and are investigating the cause of the fault. Work is underway to assess the extent of the outage and determine the required repairs.
Residents are advised to treat all electrical installations as live during the outage period.
The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience and cooperation of affected residents while technical teams work to restore supply safely and efficiently.
