The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to provide an update regarding the power outage at the Matomela Substation following the tripping of an 11kV circuit breaker.
Teams attempted to backfeed some affected customers; however, not all customers power supply could be restored due to loading constraints and additional faulty cables identified on the network.
The following substations remain without supply:
- SABA 1
- Hostel 1 & 2
- Maqoma
- Cola Avenue
- Nduma 1
AFFECTED AREAS:
- Section of KwaZakhele
- Surrounding areas
Standby staff remain on site and investigations are continuing. More information will be communicated as it becomes available.
