The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that a power outage has occurred at the Mabandla Substation. We suspect the tripping of a 22kV circuit breaker, which has caused a loss of power supply to Wards 44, 46 and 47.
AFFECTED AREAS: Mthirrara Street, Tize, KwaNobuhle area
RESTORATION UPDATE: Technical teams are currently attending to the fault. Unfortunately, there is no estimated time for the restoration of power at this stage.

UPDATE: The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that at the Mabandla Substation, the MBA 2#1 22kV breaker was found tripped.
A handout has been issued to replace a burnt fuse carrier on pole MBA 2#32 affecting the blue and red phases. Line inspections are also currently underway.
Please note that there is currently no estimated timeframe for supply restoration.
Technical teams are on site attending to the fault, and further updates will be communicated as more information becomes available.
