The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality informs residents that a trip occurred at the Aloes Substation (AHK 1#1 – 11kV Circuit Breaker) due to a cable that was damaged during waterworks operations.
Technical teams are currently on site working to isolate the damaged cable.
The following areas are affected:
- Aloes / Hougham Park
- Amsterdamhoek
- Sections of Bluewater Bay
- Surrounding areas
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. At this stage, there is no estimated time for restoration.
