The NMBM wishes to advise residents that an electrical fault affecting the Motherwell pump station is currently putting an immense strain on our water system.
Supply from the Nooitgedagt system has essentially been reduced by almost 90Ml/d.
Augmentation has been done to divert water from other sources. However, it is envisaged that some water disruptions might be experienced throughout this period if storage in reservoirs gets depleted.
Regular updates will follow to keep consumers informed regarding water disruptions.
