Over the past two days, the Quarterly Local Government Communicators Forum (LGCF) brought together communication professionals from across the Eastern Cape at Ndlambe Local Municipality (Royal St Andrews Hotel). This platform fostered collaboration, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement—key pillars in ensuring effective communication and service delivery to our communities.
Key Highlights from the Forum:
🔹 Day 1: Focused on best practices in local government communication, including updates on Free Basic Services, Cleaning Campaigns, and Spaza Shops Registration. Discussions emphasized the role of communication in driving awareness, transparency, and community engagement.
🔹 Day 2: Addressed the importance of strategic communication planning, particularly for the upcoming Winter Initiation Season. Stakeholder collaboration was a central theme, ensuring that government, traditional leaders, and communities work together for safe and well-managed local initiatives.
As we conclude this successful engagement, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening local government communication, enhancing public trust, and ensuring residents receive timely and relevant information about the services that impact their lives.
