I originally started MyPR.co.za as I was looking for content to feed every hungry web sites covering local news from places like Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha) etc.
BUT – Win-Win-Win
I wanted to have a win-win-win situation involving MyPR, PR Professionals and Audience.
SO
MyPR was established (in 2012) to accept Press Releases and publish them for free.
OVER THE YEARS
The demand for more features came from PR Professionals, and we obliged with a paid for feature that allowed Press Releases to be submitted that carried images, video, hyperlinks to more info and greater reach.
We then created a monthly featured section allowing for a single monthly fee and 10 submissions per day.
We also added a Table of Contents feature to FEATURED PRESS RELEASE submissions to take advantage of good SEO and the ever growing AI Snippets.
AND NOW JUST ONE MORE SMALL ADDITION
Will make life slightly easier for people submitting Press Releases.
Often people inadvertently double or even triple submit their first press release thinking that the service is an immediate publish one. Or they submit to the ‘International’ category, decide not to pay the small fee for press releases from outside of Africa and then re-submit to some other category – normally ‘Free State’ to try and circumvent that small ask.
People also experience frustration not being able to check immediately that their submission has been successfully received.
All of the above lead to wasted time and negative marketing.
COMING SOON PAGE
We now provide a dedicated page that will display all the press releases WAITING in our editorial queue allowing youto see your submission immediately after pushing/clicking/tapping/stroking the submit button.
