POWER OUTAGE – NEW BRIGHTON: The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that a 11kV circuit breaker has tripped at the Matomela/Maguga substation, resulting in a power outage affecting the following areas: Zokufa Street, Molefe, Connacher, Sheya Kulati, Avenue A, Yaya Street and surrounding areas.
Our technical team has been dispatched to assess the situation and carry out the necessary repairs. Power supply will be restored as soon as it is safe and technically feasible to do so.
UPDATE: POWER OUTAGE – NEW BRIGHTON: The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to update residents on the current electricity supply status in New Brigton.
While the team was busy with fault-finding following the power outage, they discovered a cable fault between Tsotsobe RMU and Kale Substation. Supply has been restored to certain parts of New Brighton. However, Thirteen Substations are still off due to the cable fault. As a result, power outage persist in section of New Brighton and surrounding areas.
