The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents of a widespread power outage affecting several areas across the Metro. This outage has been caused by the tripping of a 132kV circuit breaker at both the Chelsea/Arlington and Summerstrand substations.
As a result, the following areas are currently without power:

- Forest Hill
- Southdene

- Happy Valley
- Court Yard Hotel and surrounding areas
- Marine Towers
- Strand View
- Cape Recife Waterworks
- UPE
- Technikon Village
- Boardwalk Casino
- Kurumanskloof and surrounding areas
- Miramar
- Pari Park
- Providentia
- Schoenmakerskop – DSK
A technical team has been dispatched and is currently on-site conducting investigations and carrying out the necessary repairs.
