My review was spot on, simple and ONE WORD: “Go!” and it seems that I was right as audiences flock to see this smash hit.
ANNIE is a smash hit and definitely the biggest theatre event of the year. Tickets are almost sold out so book now to avoid disappointment. Since opening on 24 September, Annie has become the must see show in the Bay! Audiences cant stop raving about this beautiful show – read some of the fantastic feedback below.
This much-anticipated production features a cast of 36 local all-stars, delivering toe-tapping numbers and dazzling choreography under the direction of acclaimed theatre veteran Robin Williams, with Dario Broccardo (Musical Director), Darren Rockman (Choreographer), and a dynamic vocal team: Hannah Barth and Joshua de Paula e Silva.
Annie is played by Isabelle Kramer (Pink Team) and Alayna Leander (Purple Team) who are both blowing audiences away. Joining these young stars are a who’s who of the local theatre scene. Paul Leonard, as Daddy Warbucks. Vanessa Grebe shines as Grace Farrell, popular local musician Francois Theron Malan, of Frankie and the Misfits fame, lends his charisma to Bert Healy, and the hilariously villainous trio of Miss Hannigan, Rooster, and Lily will be brought to life by the dynamic team of Melissa Leander, Bennie Gerber, and Rachel Lategan.
