Bigger, louder, and more electrifying than ever! Relive the insane action from an evening of pure Moto madness in the Best Whip and Best Trick contests that took place at Montecasino in Johannesburg, South Africa.
A Field of 30 of the best Freestyle Motocross and Motocross athletes – including 21 South African competitors and nine international stars – went head-to-head in front of a sold-out Montecasino as they took to the ramps in pursuit of glory. All eyes were on reigning Best Whip Champion Julien Vanstippen (Belgium), as challengers looked to unseat the title holder.
USA’s Wyatt Fontenot rose above the competition with a standout performance to claim the Best Whip crown from Vanstippen. Australia’s Ry Hazell delivered an impressive showing to secure third place, while Uganda’s Stav Orland and USA’s Vicki Golden completed the top five in a fiercely contested final.
In the Best Trick Right-Side-Up and Upside-Down categories, defending champion Pat Bowden(Australia) proved untouchable, dominating both contests and reaffirming his status as the undisputed King of the Tricks.
The Volkswagen Amarok King of the Whip is presented by LW Mag in association with MonsterEnergy, Yamaha, Garmin, Motul, GoPro, Fox Racing, PlayTSOGO and Estrella Cerveza.
