With reference to the woes that News24 and friend Gary are going through at the moment…
I want to relate two separate incidents that made me lose all trust in both of them.
The first incident was when I lent my power bank and lightning cable to one of them. I was faithfully promised that it would be returned and after asking a number of times I gave up asking and consigned that one to my ‘Never mention them again pile!’
As you can see, though, I just did mention them – my apologies.
The second incident was when one of them rear ended me. I elected to rather do a third party claim for the damage and got the run around from the fleet manager demanding certain documents, certain number of quotes from certain types of panel beaters (not one of them was willing to give a quote for a 3rd party claim – all citing non-payment) etc.
I even went to the panel beater that repaired the vehicle driven by the person that rear ended me and was turned away.
Eventually I gave up.
Now, both have been consigned to my ‘Don’t urinate on them list!’
Huh?
You know that list that you place the reckless driver and blue light brigades on, which goes like this; ‘If that vehicle is involved in a crash and bursts into flames I will stop and watch it burn but NEVER waste a stream of urine trying to put the fire out!’
Small things are indicators of larger forms of incorrect behaviour.
