The NMBM wishes to inform residents that for the most part many areas that were experiencing water disruptions in the system have recovered and most areas now have water supply restored.
The only area still experiencing challenges is the supply zone fed directly by the Kabah Water Treatment Works, due to high turbidity levels. We are managing the situation as best as possible and deploying water tankers to affected communities.
Areas affected with low pressure or water disruptions include but not limited to:
- Parts of Rosedale
- Parts of Mountainview
- Thomas Gamble
- Santa Barbara
- Allenridge West
- Lower Central
- KwaLanga
- Gibon street
- Diegaat area
The second affected area is KwaNobuhle. The reservoir will be shut. This interruption is not due to a water shortage, but forms part of an operational arrangement aimed at improving supply. One of the reservoirs is currently being cleaned, and normal operations are expected to resume after lunchtime today.
