The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Constituency Services Special Programmes Unit held a cluster meeting at Babs Madlakane Community Hall in Kwa-Nobuhle to establish structure forums today.
The objective of this engagement was to form portfolios within each forum, representing various community groups, including women, men, youth, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community. Each sector appointed portfolio heads, comprising seven key roles: Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Organiser, Treasurer and Public Relations Officer (PRO).
This initiative creates a localized support system, allowing residents to engage with representatives closer to home when facing challenges within their clusters. It also ensures that wards have accessible community-based forums to enhance communication and service delivery.
