Despatch SAPS detectives are appealing to the community for assistance with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a 20-year-old man in Khayamnandi, Despatch.
It is alleged that on Saturday, 09 May 2026, at approximately 20:45, the victim, identified as Emihle Busakweage (20), was at a residence in Solomon Mahlangu Street, Khayamnandi, when three unknown male suspects arrived at the house.
According to a witness, the suspects knocked on the door and called out the deceased’s name. When the door was opened, the three suspects, who were wearing hoodies, entered the room where the victim was lying on the bed and allegedly shot him multiple times. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene. A case of murder has been opened and the investigation is ongoing.
