he Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that a Yellow Level 2 (L2) weather warning has been issued for damaging winds in the area.
As a result, we anticipate a higher rate of electrical faults, especially on overhead power lines, which may lead to power outages. There will also be an increased risk of trees falling onto power lines.
Our electricity teams will be on standby to respond swiftly to faults and carry out repairs.
We kindly request your patience and cooperation during this period. Please rest assured that our teams will work diligently to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
Thank you for your understanding.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that a Yellow Level 2 (L2) weather warning has been issued for damaging winds in the area (so any infrastructure damage is not our fault but caused by that guy in the sky).
Due to poor maintenance and planning on our part, we anticipate a higher rate of electrical faults, especially on overhead power lines, which may lead to power outages as the pylons finally collapse from the rust and neglect. By the way we would also like to cover any possible damages by blaming an Act of God so here goes; “There will also be an increased risk of trees falling onto power lines.”
Our electricity teams will be on standby (but we will not be paying overtime to them until they go on strike and threaten senior officials lives) to respond swiftly (only if we have paid for the fuel and leasing costs for their vehicles, the call out falls in normal working time allowing for morning tea, travel to fault, one more cuppa, lunch, waiting for supervisor, determining which equipment to buy to benefit whichever politician is next in line, return to fault via school run and emergency shopping, travel to warehouse, gazing at empty warehouse, chatting to the young honey at reception, afternoon tea, pack up and return) to faults and carry out repairs (under the supervision of a former employee who is now a consultant and killing it, and once the tenders have been approved by Matomela House).
We actually do not give a damn about your well being but our lawyers have said that we must kindly request your patience and cooperation (translation: keep on paying your damn bill so that we can keep the trough topped up) during this period. Please rest assured that our teams will work diligently (those that are left) to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
Thank you for your understanding (up yours and do not dare moan).
