Those who know will attest to the fact that one of my idiot savant activities is to watch the Nelson Mandela Bay dam levels like a hawk.
Of late the reported numbers coming out of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro web site have been slower than the time it takes to fix a pothole in your street.
After April’s massive inflow the reporting slowed down completely – 5 times in May, twice in June, ZERO in July, once in August, once so far this month of September.
Contrast that with Cape Towns Dam Level Reporting record.

Today we have gone BACKWARDS and the Nelson Mandela Bay Metroplitan municipality is displaying dam levels from 25 February 2026 (screenshot below).
Maybe the dams are also protesting against the upcoming expense of the State of the Metro address that Babalwa and chums have bought designer duds for.
