The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality intensified efforts today to secure financial stability and boost revenue collection through a targeted disconnection drive.
This initiative aimed at recovering R23 million in outstanding municipal accounts.
Spearheaded by the Budget and Treasury Directorate, in collaboration with the Electricity and Energy Directorate, the campaign focused on businesses in areas such as Fairview, Lorraine, North End, Summerstrand, Humewood, Kamma Heights, Kabega, Sydenham, Sidwell, Cotswold, Central, and Bluewater Bay, as well as residential properties in Kabega Park.
This proactive initiative is designed to enhance revenue collection, ensuring better service delivery and driving economic growth across the metro. Residents and businesses are encouraged to make use of convenient payment methods, including Unipay outlets, the NMBM mobile app, or by arranging payment plans at their nearest Customer Care Centre.
