Better lithium-ion batteries
Sandia physicist Farid El Gabaly aligns a lithium-iron-phosphate battery electrode sample for chemical characterization with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The samples will then be thinly sliced for state-of-the-art synchrotron X-ray microscopy.
