Marianah Lourens is a Performing Artist based in Port Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela Bay.
Marianah Lourens says:
Marianah started her stage career in 1968 with the Edenvale Dramatic Society. In 1973 Marianah appeared in PEAAT’s production of ‘Patricia’ and the PEMADS Salters Cup. In 1984 she toured the USA with the Covenant Players and learnt all aspects of theatre. Locally she has acted in a number of different roles for Harvest Christian Church, Obed Productions, G&S, PEAAT and Pemads. Some of them being, ‘Mamma ek wil ‘n man hê’, ‘Page to Stage 2’ and ‘Honk’. She was also nominated as best supporting actress for her role in “Die Kis” in 2008. She also performed in the stage production of ‚Return of the Moon‘ in 2018.
Marianah presents the programme ‘Kuns en Vermaak/Arts and Entertainment’ on BAY FM 107.9 at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Storie Tyd/Story time are readings of interesting childrens stories for both young and old and these are read on BAY FM 107.9 between 6-30 and 7pm on a Tuesday.
